We were approached by business owner, Bryan Sergeant to help conceptualise and implement a new idea he had to raise money for charity by having a dinner party with friends. The outcome was dinner4good.com - a website where dinner hosts set up a dinner invitation online, choose a charity for which the proceeds are to be sent, and send email invites to guests. The guests then respond to the invites and donate online.
The site also allows for charities to sign up and create their own Dinner4Good page with unique web address so enabling charites to easily promote the concept to their potential fundraisers.
We designed a series of user journey's for hosts - setting up a new dinner, and guests - responding to invites. As well as an account area where users could manage and view their dinners.
We built the web application in-house which integrated with Everyclick's charity search and payment gateway. The application includes a suite of automated HTML emails and a detailed reporting system for charites.
Since its launch, Dinner4Good has been an overwhelming success with charities and users alike. The site makes money for charites every day and there are currenly over 400 charities signed up.
