Work > Business & Community Gateway
Client: Bath Spa University
Web: www.bathspabusiness.com
The Bath Spa University Business Support Office approached us to design and develop a new website that would help enable effective partnerships between the University, Businesses and the Community.
The new website includes content and information on Courses, Events and provides many Case Studies showcasing achievements made by University Staff, Students and local businesses.
The website is fully content managed, built on the newest release (version 3) of our Artisan Content Management System. The CMS provides administrators with an intuitive interface for managing content with the ability to upload multimedia content, create photo galleries, toggle pages from 'live' to 'on hold' and with drag and drop functionality provided throughout for content and page re-ordering.
A second phase of development has recently been completed which see's seamless integration between the CMS and the event ticketing website Eventbrite. The many short courses which are run by the Business Support Office required online booking functionality and as Eventbrite offer such a comprehensive solution we have developed a plugin for Artisan which communicates with their product API. Meaning instant sales opportunities.

"Having worked with Float on a couple of commissions, we had no hesitation in asking them to undertake The Business & Community Gateway. This major flagship initiative is Bath Spa University’s externally-facing business support website and Float accurately interpreted our brief for a professional, business-like and yet approachable communication mechanism that will help us to develop ongoing relationships with organisations and our local community. The content management system is so efficient and easy-to-use that we have no trouble keeping our website refreshed and up-to-date with the latest news and opportunities. The delivery of this project has been instrumental in streamlining some of our processes and making best use of our resource."
